  • discuss research ideas, research data, and methods from other groups

  • held once every six weeks

Try to release the choice of paper one week ahead.

💁Some Tips for Preparing the Presentation

1. Try not to spend too much time on it

First of all, we encourage you to present a paper that is related to your research, so that you don't need to put extra time digging into something you are not familiar with.

It is possible that you couldn't understand every single detail of the paper. After all, someone dedicated a lot to that! Try to focus on the key message of the paper.

2. Try to answer the following questions:

  • What is the main problem this paper trying to solve?

  • What is the key innovation of this paper? What obstacle did this paper breakthrough?

  • What are your thoughts on the paper? (positive, negative, even emotional)

Preparing a few lines of take-away messages would be useful!
